Company History

Clancy & Theys Construction Company was founded in 1949 in Raleigh, North Carolina by brothers-in-law, E.I. Clancy and J.C. Theys on the principles of providing quality construction to repeat clients.  The continued success of the company is based on the integrity of its founders and their common sense business principles that still guide the company's work today; high quality standards, precise estimating; fair and honest practices and a loyal group of over 600 experienced employees who are treated as members of an extended-family team.

Today, Clancy & Theys, lead by son's Tim and Tick Clancy continue to believe the company's business philosophy is based on the conviction that we must "go the extra mile" for clients, treating them fairly, honestly and professionally in every transaction.  This philosophy extends to quality of work - not just workmanship, but also the integrity and efficiency of the work process.  New employees learn quickly that Clancy & Theys' corporate culture is deeply ingrained: treating clients fairly means always meeting or surpassing the construction industry's highest standards.
